Pipefitter Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter with at least five years of experience fitting stainless steel pipes for TIG welders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting P&ID's, isometric drawings, and spool sheets to plan, fabricate, and install piping systems.

• Read and understand P&ID's and isometric drawings to determine the scope of work, materials, and dimensions required.
• Layout, fabricate, and install pipe spools from spool sheets.
• Flame cut pipe to length, bevel, and clean pipes in preparation for fit-up.
• Perform pipe layout, rigging, and transportation of pipe, valves, and fittings.
• Thread pipe using a threading machine and bend pipe by hand or with tools.
• Plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and coordinate with other workers.
• Use manual, pneumatic, and electric tools according to tasks.
• Hoist equipment and tools into position using bull rigging or a crane, utilizing proper hand signals with heavy equipment operators.
• Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Properly test piping systems for leaks using hydro-testing equipment.
• Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.
• Help maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fitting stainless steel pipe for TIG welders.
• Minimum of 3 years pipefitting experience in an industrial or petrochemical setting.
• NCCER certification is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand P&ID's, isometric drawings, and spool sheets.
• Knowledge of industry-standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
• May be required to pass a craft test.

• Hourly Rate: $32-$36 per hour, depending on experience.
• Per Diem: $100 per day for local work. $160 per day when traveling outside of the Indianapolis area (paid out for 7 days a week).
