Job Title: Burial Vault Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Burial Vault Technician to join our team at Wilbert Funeral Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and installing concrete burial vaults to ensure a respectful and flawless burial experience for families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing concrete burial vaults according to orders
• Loading, transporting, and unloading burial vaults using company vehicles
• Installing vaults into graves
• Assembling and disassembling graveside tents
• Preparing graveside services by arranging folding chairs, chair covers, and artificial grass
• Maintaining daily reports, including pre-trip and post-trip logs
• Following a maintenance schedule for vehicles and equipment
• Keeping the delivery truck, warehouse, and shop clean and organized
• Providing a safe, clean, respectful, and dignified burial presentation for families and guests at the gravesite
• Communicating any service-related exceptions or issues to the plant manager immediately

Requirements:

• Possession of a valid driver's license with limited infractions
• Preferred knowledge of backhoe operation, but willingness to learn is considered
• Ability to obtain a medical card
• Self-motivation and self-monitoring with minimal supervision
• Maintaining a clean and respectful personal appearance, including wearing a clean uniform when required
• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background/MVR check
• Detail-oriented with full body movement and the ability to use all senses
• Capability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs
• Physical requirements include lifting, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, turning, kneeling, and squatting for short periods
• Strong team player with a customer service-oriented mindset

Working Conditions:

The Burial Vault Technician will work outdoors in various weather conditions and will be required to lift, stand, bend, stoop, twist, turn, kneel, and squat for short periods. The technician will also be required to wear a clean uniform and maintain a clean and respectful personal appearance.
