About the Role

Huitt-Zollars is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical building systems and infrastructure for large public and private developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical building systems and infrastructure engineering design functions on a variety of projects.
  • Review and understand LEED requirements and ensure they are incorporated into the design and construction process.
  • Assist project managers with preparation of project reports and A/E contract criteria.
  • Review technical aspects of major design, construction, renovation, and alteration projects.
  • Some travel may be required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) required.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Understanding of LEED requirements and LEED AP preferred.
  • Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria, applicable building codes, and standards for construction, specifically for mechanical and plumbing codes.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit BIM computer-aided design programs, Trace 700, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with HVAC manufacturer selection software is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
