In this role as a Patient Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. Your responsibilities will include performing various patient care functions, adhering to established standards of care, policies, and procedures. You will also demonstrate performance consistent with the Medical Center's Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform patient care activities within your scope of competency, considering age-related needs of patients.
- Report unusual findings to the Registered Nurse.
- Collect data and provide information in a timely manner to the Registered Nurse to assist in revising the plan of care.
- Adhere to hospital standards, customizing care for age-related needs of the population served.
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Nursing Attendant in an acute hospital, skilled nursing, extended care, or convalescent care setting.
- State Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Attendant course or current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program.
- Basic Life Support certification.
