We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse Leader to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. This role requires a dedicated and compassionate individual who can provide exceptional patient care and lead by example in our critical care units.

About the Role

  • Provide direct patient care and assessment, implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellent clinical skills, critical thinking, and effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct timely evaluations, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs, prioritizing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge of medical advancements, technologies, and best practices.
  • Educate colleagues on new techniques, treatments, and medications.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate expertise in critical care nursing, with experience in leading teams and improving patient outcomes.
  • Hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher, with active Texas State RN License or Compact RN License.
  • Possess current BLS certification, with ACLS and PALS required for experienced RNs.
  • Demonstrate crisis intervention training, with TNCC preferred for trauma designated facilities.
