About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to take on a senior leadership role in our maintenance workforce. As a Senior Service Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the maintenance shop and supervising shop supervisors/lead persons/shop employees.
  • Ensuring parts are purchased through our national accounts, following company procedures.
  • Managing parts inventories, fuel inventories, receipts, and processing purchase orders for payment of parts, outside labor, and repairs.
  • Coordinating local warranty claims and the warranty returns process.
  • Communicating truck availability status and making repair decisions on equipment in the region.
Key Responsibilities

You will also oversee:

  • Employee training using our Swift M grade training packet.
  • Ensuring each technician has an up-to-date packet and a process for signing them off on each shift.
  • Implementing safety programs for maintenance employees, OSHA, EPA, Right to Know, and Forklift certification.
  • Leading accident estimates and bids for equipment outsourced from your location.
  • Maintaining the shop to ensure it's equipped adequately and safely.
  • Ensuring compliance with all government regulations (state and federal).
  • Negotiating with local vendors for uniforms, trash, hazardous material disposal, chemical supplies, etc.
  • Completing OEM and Swift recalls on assigned equipment and equipment repaired at your facility.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment assigned to your terminal as well as through traffic and trailers located at customer sites within 200 miles.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of four years' experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and one year of maintenance supervision or a minimum of two years in a Foreman position.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience in accounting and business leadership is desired, as is experience in OSHA, EPA, and vendor negotiation.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 per year
