Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for collecting and processing clinical specimens for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood and other clinical specimens from patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals and clinics.
  • Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth specimen processing and testing.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies, as needed.
  • Computer proficiency, with experience in laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) a plus.
