Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Improvement Coordinator, RN to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting quality assurance compliance audits, reviewing policies and procedures, and implementing changes in work behavior or tactics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance Compliance: Conducts quality assurance compliance audits, reviews policies and procedures, and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Training and Development: Provides training to new employees and existing employees on quality improvement initiatives and best practices.
  • Project Management: Manages projects that directly impact the facility's performance, capturing metrics, statistics, or data from personnel or work outcomes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicates effectively with medical staff, employees, leadership, and Board on quality and performance indicators, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to improve organizational performance.
  • Customer Service: Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers, responding promptly and appropriately to customer questions, concerns, and complaints.
  • Self-Management: Reports to work appropriately groomed and in compliance with the Hospital's dress code, completes all assignments within deadlines, and adheres to all UMCAP and department policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in quality improvement or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
