We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at WheatonArts in Millville, NJ.

This part-time position involves maintaining the interior and exterior spaces of our facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for visitors and staff alike.

About the Role

As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks, including custodial duties, grounds keeping, and repairs. You will work closely with our Facilities Manager to prioritize tasks and ensure that all areas of the facility are well-maintained.

You will also have the opportunity to support special events and exhibitions, working collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional experiences for our audience.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including restrooms, offices, and public spaces.
  • Maintain the grounds, including paths, sidewalks, and parking lot.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Support special events and exhibitions, setting up and breaking down equipment and facilities as required.
  • Monitor and report any issues or concerns related to facility maintenance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with some vocational or technical training preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in landscaping, grounds keeping, or a similar field.
  • Extensive knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in facility maintenance.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
