Trauma Surgical Registered Nurse

UC Health is seeking a dedicated full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our trauma surgical department for the First Shift, 7a-730p.
The trauma surgical unit encompasses diverse patient populations from various specialized surgical teams, including Ear Nose & Throat (ENT), Urology, Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Burns, and Surgical Overflow. Our patients are admitted from critical care settings, and nursing care is focused on recovery from traumatic injuries, emphasizing mobility, patient education, monitoring of intake and outputs, and effective pain management.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care. The role requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to individuals and groups. The RN will:
Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust interdisciplinary care plans for assigned patients in collaboration with healthcare team members and families. Communicate care plans effectively to all team members involved in patient care, prioritizing based on assessments and patient needs. Provide clear instructions to patients and families regarding treatment, ensuring involvement in the assessment and ongoing care. Recognize and address diverse patient needs, including those related to behavioral health and cultural backgrounds. Exhibit critical thinking, accountability, and flexibility in meeting unit needs. Document nursing processes accurately and in accordance with hospital policies. Serve as a resource and mentor for new staff and colleagues. Commit to personal professional development and contribute to the growth of peers and colleagues. Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Minimum of an Associate's Degree; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Valid RN License in the state.
