Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic to join our team at York Building Products. As a Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled repairs of fixed aggregate plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair fixed plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and run tests after making repairs or performing maintenance.
  • Fabricate, modify, and install new/used equipment and replacement parts using various tools and equipment.
  • Operate mobile equipment such as manlifts, telehandlers, and skid steers to complete required projects.
  • Conduct MSHA pre/post shift safety inspections of work areas and equipment.
  • Ability to check, repair or replace pumps.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of fixed equipment repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds.
  • Must possess the ability to solve mechanical problems quickly and independently.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
