Job Summary:

As a skilled maintenance technician at Producers Rice Mill, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mill, packaging, and warehouse shipping areas. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct preventative and required maintenance on equipment and structures, including greasing, parts/equipment replacement, troubleshooting, welding/cutting, equipment design and installation, structure repair, inspection of equipment, and product protection during maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance
  • Perform repairs and replacements of equipment and parts as needed
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime
  • Design and install new equipment and structures as required
  • Inspect equipment and structures to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures
  • Ensure that equipment and areas are clean and free of potential contamination issues after maintenance activities

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work days and/or nights
  • Must be at least age 21, have a valid driver's license, and a clear driving record
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Must be willing to climb up to 200 feet high
  • Must be willing to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Must be willing to learn pipe/sheet metal welding and fabrication
  • Must be willing to tolerate working in hot and cold temperatures for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to be trained to operate heavy machinery (Bobcat, Forklift, and Front End Loader)
  • Must be available for call-outs at all times and be able to respond within 35 minutes
  • Must be willing to be trained to do necessary paperwork
  • Must be able to be trained to operate the control room
  • Must be willing to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and turn throughout the day
  • Must read, speak, and understand the English language fluently
  • Electrical experience preferred but not required
