Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Daikin. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely delivering products to customer sites within designated time frames.

Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Load, unload, and deliver products to customer sites using the most efficient routes possible.
  • Logistics and Compliance: Maintain required logs and reports to ensure compliance with DOT and company policies.
  • Cargo Handling: Safely load and properly block, brace, and secure cargo.
  • Driving and Traffic Laws: Ensure continuous compliance with driving and traffic laws while operating company vehicles.
  • Forklift Operations: Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transfer, load, and unload products.
  • Pre- and Post-Check Operations: Perform pre-check and post-check operations of company vehicles and forklifts.
  • Warehouse Duties: Perform warehouse duties and ensure accurate product and quantity of product is being loaded or transferred for customers.
  • Accident Reporting: Notify the manager immediately of any accidents, damage, violations, or areas of concern.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Follow good housekeeping and safety practices at all times.
Qualifications
  • Safe Driving Skills: Proven ability to safely operate a flat bed or box truck.
  • DOT Standards: Must meet and pass DOT standards.
  • Forklift Training: Ability to successfully pass forklift training and delivery truck driving tests within 30 working days of start date.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and surroundings.
  • Policy Compliance: Ability to follow all policies and established practices for branch, driving, and warehouse operations.
  • Good Judgment: Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity on the job.
  • Dependability: Be dependable, work well in a team environment, and establish positive working relationships with employees and customers.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including data entry to process transactions and generate reports and orders.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task well and assist in warehouse or front counter or a branch as needed.

Pay Range: $19 - $23 per hour
