Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Radiology Department at St. Mary's Health Care System in Lavonia, GA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images of the human body using ultrasound technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under the direction of the radiologist, utilize ultrasound equipment to create diagnostic images for use in diagnosis of disease or organ malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with physicians to read sonographs and make diagnostic judgments based on test results.
Requirements:
  • Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (RVT), CCI or (ARRT). If registry eligible, must be registered by the ARDMS or ARRT in ultrasound within 1 year of hire date.
  • Registered CPR BLS Certification, thru American Heart Association
  • Education: Graduate of an AMA approved school of sonography or radiology
  • Experience: Experience necessary to demonstrate competence. 1 year experience preferred.
