We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed concerning patient condition.
- Assess operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtain supplies for individual cases, and ensures all appropriate needs of operating team are met.
- Monitors positions and assist patient during procedure.
- Participates in performance improvement, quality assurance and departmental meetings.
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a Current Registered Nurse Licensure with a multistate compact status.
- One (1) year work experience in the Operating Room preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS Certification (or) obtained within 6 months after hire date.
