Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Services Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient transportation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch patient transporters to ensure timely response to transportation requests
  • Utilize EPIC Transport Dashboard to coordinate patient transportation
  • Identify ways to improve customer satisfaction and make recommendations to supervisor
  • Provide child passenger safety education and complete car seat education checklists for all moms and babies
  • Ensure that customer departments are notified of delays, cancellations, and changes in the mode of transportation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Three years of experience as a patient transporter preferably in a healthcare environment
  • CPR-Heart Saver course completion card within 90 days of hire
  • National Child Passenger Safety Certification within one year of hire
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to represent PHHS in a positive manner
