Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at ND Energy Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of company vehicles, ensuring they are safe to operate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and evaluate vehicles to determine if any defects are present
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including cleaning and lubricating
  • Maintain routine vehicle maintenance schedules
  • Make adjustments and repair vehicles to ensure operating efficiency
  • Maintain a log book of all vehicle repairs, services, adjustments, and work performed

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of previous auto mechanic experience
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles
  • Ability to assess and troubleshoot vehicle failure
  • Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs. and handle physical demanding work
  • Must be able to communicate using oral and basic written communication
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and participate in the random testing pool
  • Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
  • Arrange for reliable transportation to and from work

Work Environment: This job primarily operates in an indoor work environment but may occasionally operate in an outside environment. The role occasionally works in all weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme wind, rain, cold, heat, etc.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work as job duties demand.

Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License. Class A or B CDL preferred. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous mechanic experience preferred. Valid certification (e.g. ASE) a plus.
