Pipefitter/Pipelayer Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter/Pipelayer Specialist to join our team at ZTEX Construction. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipes for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
Job Summary- Assemble, connect, and construct pipes for various applications
- Cut and install support equipment according to specifications
- Join pipes using threads, soldering, brazing, or cemented connections
Responsibilities:
- Pipe Installation: Install pipes for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains
- Pipe Preparation: Cut and prepare pipes for installation
- Support Equipment Installation: Install support equipment such as hangers, brackets, pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic cylinders
- Pipe Joining: Join pipes using threads, soldering, brazing, or cemented connections
- Pipe Inspection: Inspect piping systems and machinery to detect malfunctions
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of equipment
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in pipefitting and/or pipe laying
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with safety rules and procedures
- Working knowledge of all tools, materials, and machinery needed to perform the job
- Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written or oral instructions
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements, heat/cold temperatures, wind, rain, and blowing dust
- Able to work around moving equipment and tolerate loud noise levels
- Ability to perform intense manual labor
- Bend and stoop repeatedly throughout the day
- Able to push, pull, and lift 50+ pounds
- Able to walk and stand for long periods of time
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, and benefits that include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
