The Ambulatory Infusion Centers offer a comprehensive array of outpatient services, which encompass antibiotic administration, blood transfusions, chemotherapy, platelet transfusions, and therapeutic phlebotomies.

Scope of Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care with responsibility and accountability, adhering to the standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the legal requirements of the State of Michigan.

Demonstrating proficiency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, the RN engages in assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN is committed to upholding the standards of professional performance as outlined by the ANA.

This encompasses ethical practice, culturally competent care, effective communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, resource management, and environmental health. The goal is to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program is required.
  • Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan upon hire.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC within 90 days of hire.
  • Completion of the Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certificate course is required for RNs in departments administering chemotherapy/immunotherapy.
  • Preferred: OCN Certification or other applicable Oncology specialty/leadership certification.
Work Environment

This position is part-time, with a day shift schedule. Weekly hours are set at 24, with workdays spanning Sunday to Saturday and variable weekend requirements.
