Job Summary

Guthrie Clinic is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate and efficient laboratory testing procedures, including hematology, clinical chemistry, and urinalysis.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
  • Collect and process biological specimens for analysis, ensuring proper identification and handling.
  • Communicate test results and specimen requirements to authorized personnel in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including typing, filing, and answering telephones.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
  • Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
