Job Summary

Laundry professionals at Rolling Hills Health Center Operations, LLC are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility's linens and residents' personal items. This role involves operating laundry machines, sorting and folding clothes, and ensuring that all items are properly stored and delivered to residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to the facility's policies and procedures, as well as corporate guidelines.
  • Report any allegations of resident abuse or neglect to the Administrator, Director of Nursing, or Unit Manager.
  • Treat residents, family members, visitors, and colleagues with respect and dignity.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
  • Attend work on time and as scheduled.
  • Wash and dry resident clothing and facility linens.
  • Sort and fold linens and resident clothing.
  • Deliver resident laundry as designated.
  • Ensure that all clothes and linens are mended and ready for use.
  • Understand the functions of various soaps and bleaches and use them appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Clean filters on dryers as directed.
  • Coordinate with the Supervisor for inventory needs.
  • Follow the Housekeeping/Laundry Manual when working.
  • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations, including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
Job Requirements:
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
  • Must be able to perform the essential position functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Employee is required to use a transfer/gait belt or to obtain the assistance of another employee when attempting to assist residents when lifting or carrying objects in excess of 25 pounds.
