Framer Carpenter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Framer Carpenter to join our team at Lynnhaven Marine and Dock, Inc. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the marine/heavy-civil construction industry, with a strong background in building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using different types of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall to construct and repair structures.
• Utilize various tools and equipment, including chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders, to ensure precise and accurate work.
• Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives to create strong and durable structures.
• Work on elevated surfaces, using levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
• Create structures for pouring concrete and erect scaffolding as needed.
• Move and install machinery, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Framer Carpenter in the marine/heavy-civil construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Ability to perform layout and determine elevations, a plus.
• Valid Driver's License and adequate transportation to and from job sites.
