Job Title: Assistant Youth Career Counselor

The EAC Network is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Youth Career Counselor to join our team. This is a non-exempt position paying $24.64 per hour at 35 hours per week.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Youth Career Counselor is responsible for providing guidance and support to youth participants in our Youth Services program. This includes reviewing enrollment documents, maintaining participant records, and tracking customer progress and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and program support to youth services contractors
  • Review youth enrollment documents to ensure accuracy and determine program eligibility
  • Maintain and enter participant records, files, and documents in an orderly and precise manner
  • Review monthly progress reports and follow up to resolve any inaccuracies, needs, or questions
  • Assist youth participants with enrollment and monitoring in occupational skills training courses
  • Regularly track customer progress and outcomes in Occupational Skills Training
  • Complete technical tasks such as preparing program reports and representing Youth Services at internal and external meetings
  • Monitor youth services contractor performance to ensure compliance with program standards and best practices
  • Conduct brief eligibility screenings with youth who walk into the Youth Services office
  • Facilitate outreach presentations within local schools, community agencies, and other youth-focused events
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in counseling or educational equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience required
  • Experience using the One-Stop Operating System (OSOS) preferred
  • Must have access to automobile and possess valid Driver's License
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, email and/or database software
