Hospice Nurse Position

At Liberty Hospice, we provide state-of-the-art care and pain management services to our patients with terminal illness. Our team of specially trained staff focuses on strength, dignity, and compassion. We are seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Burlington.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Apply nursing theories and concepts to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinate physical care of patients with families, physicians, and the Hospice team.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and agency personnel.
  • Participate in IDT meetings and quality reviews as scheduled.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience and at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of home health and hospice care programs and the nurse's role in patient care.
  • Working knowledge of nursing principles and practice according to nursing practice act, agency policies, and reimbursement guidelines.
  • CPR certification and 12 hours of continuing education annually.
  • Ability to accept travel assignments and weekend/evening call duties.
