Job Title: Prep Cook

We are currently seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our team at Berlin Farmstead Restaurant.

Salary: $12.50 per hour

About the Job

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality dishes to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare ingredients and cooking stations according to established recipes and guidelines.
  2. Clean and maintain food-prep equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  3. Monitor production schedules and plan preparation of ingredients and menu items accordingly.
  4. Store and rotate stock using the first-in-first-out method to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
  5. Ensure that all prepared foods are properly covered, stored, and dated to maintain quality and safety standards.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a prep or cook position.
  2. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  3. Ability to learn and adapt to new recipes, techniques, and equipment.
  4. Familiarity with kitchen tools and equipment, including knives, mixers, and ovens.
