Exciting opportunity to join Yoh as a Clinical Specimen Processor in Tampa, FL

As a Clinical Specimen Processor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Specimen Processing Department. Your responsibilities will include general support functions such as data entry, A-station, presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation and aliquoting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data entry, with the ability to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour. You should be comfortable working in a production environment with emphasis on productivity/quality standards and departmental completion times.

You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with all levels of staff, adhering to core values, safety and compliance policies and procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data entry with high accuracy
  • General support functions within the Specimen Processing Department
  • A-station, presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory
  • Imaging/microfilming, centrifugation and aliquoting

Requirements:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of computers
  • No experience required but previous laboratory experience preferred
  • Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory
