About Our CompanyShiftMed is a top nursing jobs app that connects healthcare professionals with local facilities needing RN support on a per diem, short-term, or permanent basis. With our platform, you can work 8 hours one week and 40 hours the next – always in control of your work schedule.
Salary and CompensationWe offer competitive hourly pay rates, ranging from $25 to $50 per hour, depending on the location of our partner facilities. In addition to competitive pay, you can access affordable healthcare coverage plans for you and your family after working just one shift. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance options.
About the RoleAs a ShiftMed registered nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe, competent, and compassionate care to diverse patient populations in settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers. Key responsibilities include:
- Ongoing patient assessment and observation to ensure optimum health levels
- Administering and recording medications per facility policy and procedures
- Transcribing and implementing written, verbal, and electronic physician orders
- Delegating appropriate tasks to nurse aides and ensuring proper care delivery
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- An active, unencumbered RN license from the state of Louisiana
- A minimum of 1 year of RN work experience, including neuro
- The ability to push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 100 pounds
- Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking
- Current CPR certification and Basic Life Support BLS-HCP
