Medical Practice Director

This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of one of the Community Health Center of the North Country's locations, serving St. Lawrence, Franklin, and Jefferson Counties. The successful candidate will support the operational needs of the practices and assist in implementing patient-centered medical care sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee staff members at multiple CHCNC sites, adhering to established standards and practices.
- Collaborate with senior management to facilitate provider scheduling and oversee the management of provider schedules.
- Provide open communication and collaboration with the senior management team, physicians, and support staff.
- Ensure all providers and staff members are adequately trained in using the EMR and monitor compliance.
- Adhere to CHCNC policies and procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Assist in human resource activities, including job posting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, and continued staff education.
- Effectively control practice expenses and oversee medical and clerical supply levels.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of insurance contractual relationships.
- Review provider production reports and assist in developing action plans for improvement.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of three years of practice management experience in a healthcare setting is required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of electronic health record implementation and usage are required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to sit for long periods.
- Ability to tolerate extensive exposure to computer monitor/screen.
- Ability to tolerate extensive use of computer keyboard.
