Position Overview: The Field Surveying Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and engaging in the operational activities of personnel involved in equipment handling, technical expertise, and physical labor while managing these responsibilities effectively. This role entails leading field surveying operations and ensuring the upkeep of surveying instruments.

Additional Qualifications:

Candidates should possess strong computer skills and technical proficiency. The ability to endure long periods of standing or walking is essential, as is the capacity to work in adverse weather conditions. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to accept guidance and constructive feedback, as well as the flexibility to travel for work assignments. Overtime may be required, and candidates should be comfortable interacting with the public while performing job duties. Mentoring and training crew members is also a key component of this role.

Physical Requirements:

Applicants must be capable of performing physical tasks, including walking long distances, standing for extended periods, and lifting weights up to 25 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds. The role may involve climbing, kneeling, and working on uneven surfaces.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, while an associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in surveying roles such as Rodman or Instrument Man is required.
