Job Summary

The Early Learning Center Aide position at Pleasant Grove City is a part-time, non-exempt role that assists the Teacher in the Early Learning Center Program. This position is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the program, including setup, supervision, and activities for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Teacher in setting up the classroom before class starts
  • Supervise and care for a group of children during activities
  • Plan and conduct age-appropriate activities for children
  • Interact with parents and children, providing a positive and supportive environment
  • Handle discipline problems and provide guidance to children as needed
  • Assist with communication and coordination with parents, including providing updates on activities and lessons
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in special events and activities
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Post-secondary education in childhood education or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience teaching children in a classroom setting a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required
  • Good public relations skills and ability to work with children and their families
Working Conditions
  • Working conditions may vary, but most work will be in a classroom setting
  • No significantly hazardous conditions exist
