Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Screener to join our team. As a Medical Screener, you will be responsible for greeting donors at the plasma collection center and conducting a series of registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature.
  • Perform finger stick to obtain sample to obtain donors hematocrit and total protein levels.
  • Answer basic medical questions associated with the donation process and refer donors to medical staff when appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Working Conditions

The Medical Screener will be required to work in a plasma collection center and may be exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens. The ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
