We are seeking a highly skilled ICU/Critical Care RN to join our team at Cynet Health in Patchogue, New York. This is a 13-week contract position with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Requirements- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU specialty
- New York license required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- First-timers accepted with at least 2 years of experience within ICU specialty
- COVID-19 Vaccine required; medical exemptions only
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patients with multi-system organ failure, interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, and providing care pre/post cardiac catheterization/intervention. They will also be responsible for performing sheath removal, managing IV insulin protocols, supporting patients with chronic/acute renal failure, and managing arterial lines and central/PICC lines.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring and will be able to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips. They will also be responsible for managing CVA/acute stroke, post-neurosurgery care, and traumatic brain injury cases, as well as assisting with management of BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilated patients.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing infection prevention and isolation precautions, handling surgical wounds with drains/Wound Vac, and completing 8 Stroke CEUs and passing Dysrhythmia and Medication exams during credentialing.
RNs are expected to float to MSDU as needed and fulfill weekend shift requirements. Orientation takes place once a month for inpatient RNs and is ineligible for negotiation. Flu vaccine requirements are not specified. Compliance deadlines are strictly adhered to, and the facility upholds a smoke-free policy.
