Thoracic Surgical Oncologist

Virtua Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Thoracic Surgical Oncologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients with thoracic cancer and other related conditions.
About the RoleThis is an employed position within a fiscally sound health system with a rapidly growing presence within the region. You will have the opportunity to work with a well-established PENN Medicine/Virtua Cancer Program, which offers a comprehensive cancer center with a dedicated team incorporating a robust multi-disciplinary approach.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with thoracic cancer and other related conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in academic and research activities, including teaching and mentoring residents and fellows.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
We are seeking a candidate with at least three years of experience in thoracic surgery, with well-developed minimally invasive thoracic surgery expertise, including established robotic training/experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with both malignant and benign thoracic disease, including the full spectrum of pulmonary, esophageal, mediastinal, and chest wall conditions.
