Position Overview:

The Faculty Member in Nursing Education is responsible for imparting knowledge to students in various educational domains, including general education, health studies, and professional courses. This role is pivotal in fostering instructional experiences that align with the mission and objectives of the institution.

In this capacity, the educator will evaluate educational outcomes and utilize data-driven insights to enhance curriculum and teaching methodologies, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared as competent entry-level professionals and responsible citizens.

Under the guidance of the Academic Dean and/or Program Chair, the position may require flexibility in working hours beyond the standard workday.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Create an engaging learning environment that promotes critical thinking, exploration, self-direction, and appreciation for individual differences.
  • Provide academic advising and tutoring to students, assessing their progress in meeting program requirements and achieving educational outcomes.
  • Maintain professional development by staying informed about current trends, challenges, and best practices within the discipline.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department and across the institution through active participation in committees.

Qualifications:

Education:
Master's Degree in a relevant teaching or professional discipline, or a related field, with additional graduate coursework as specified. Candidates with a terminal degree in the discipline are also encouraged to apply.

Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience at the academic rank of Instructor or an equivalent position is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarly or creative endeavors, along with active involvement in professional and community organizations.

Licensure:
Current licensure or certification relevant to professional practice areas is desired.
