About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, using your clinical expertise and judgment to evaluate patient abilities and limitations, and developing effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, using assessment procedures to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer daily treatment, ensuring that treatment plans are age-appropriate and patient-specific, and making recommendations to physicians as needed.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants and extenders, teaching them techniques to administer treatments to patients.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and significant others, identifying learning readiness, preferences, and barriers, and addressing those needs.
  • Document patient information in the electronic medical record, accurately completing coding and billing for services provided.
  • Participate in ongoing educational activities, meeting continuing education requirements to maintain licensure, and staying up-to-date with current practices.
Requirements
  • Physical Therapist licensure in Illinois, with proof of application for licensure submitted if out of state.
  • BLS CPR Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance, and use patient handling equipment when necessary.
