CIP/SIP Cleaning Specialist

Position Summary:
The Sanitation team plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the production environment. This involves the application of CIP (Clean-in-Place), COP (Clean-out-of-Place), and SIP (Sterilization-in-Place) methodologies. Team members will utilize a variety of cleaning agents and specialized equipment to efficiently execute nightly sanitation tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ designated cleaning tools and suitable chemicals to effectively CIP, COP, and SIP all production machinery.
- Conduct comprehensive cleaning, which includes scrubbing walls, ceilings, floors, drains, pipes, and various equipment utilized during production.
- Foam and wash the exterior of all machinery, equipment, and tanks.
- Ensure designated areas are stocked and maintained with necessary supplies.
- Remove waste, recycling, debris, and other obstructions to uphold cleanliness and safety standards within the facility.
- Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety, and health regulations, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as required.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Experience with aseptic systems and sanitation processes.
- A minimum of one year of experience in CIP and COP operations is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to kneel, bend, and maneuver in confined spaces as needed for equipment access.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work in environments with fluctuating temperatures.
