Job Title: General Laborer

We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Laborer to join our team at Clean Earth. As a General Laborer, you will be responsible for performing facility cleaning and maintenance, as well as material processing line work in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to work orders for cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
  • Pressure wash floors in the wastewater treatment section of the plant and use a vacuum drum to clean up washwater from sumps.
  • Perform minor preventative and other maintenance on equipment.
  • Clean facility grounds and equipment as scheduled or necessary.
  • Paint and decal above-ground storage tanks on an annual timeline or as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment inspection.
  • Ability to communicate and document inspections.
  • Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner and follow safety policies and procedures.
Physical and Mental Demands:
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job responsibilities, including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, carrying, and extended periods of standing.
  • May be exposed to extreme weather conditions and to dust, and noise.
  • May be exposed to significant truck and heavy equipment traffic.
  • Ability to sit, and/or stand for 100% of an 8-hour day.
  • Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow direction or instruction.
