We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Electrical Journeyman to join our dynamic team at Amber Electrical Contractors Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing various electrical systems and equipment in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform installation of wires, cables, encoders, switches, drives, sensors, encoders, and motor control centers.
  • Conduct daily electrical maintenance operations in a large-size manufacturing facility.
  • Collaborate with control engineers and maintenance mechanics to ensure smooth facility operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, PLC controllers, encoders, switches, sensors, drives, and motor control centers.
  • Read power distribution schematics and diagrams of high voltage and peripheral distribution systems.
  • Maintain both A/C and D/C main power systems.
  • Install and maintain electrical services ranging from 480 volts AC to 24 volts DC.
  • Set new breaker panels and wire up new machines.
  • Install new conduit runs using a clock and hand benders.
  • Install lighting and motor control circuits, service wiring, feeder, and branch circuit panels within NEC specifications.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with OSHA safety standards, and local and federal codes.
  • Follow plant policies in accordance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA 70E, Lockout/tag out/tryout safety rules, and confine entry regulations.
  • Report and track all maintenance activities in the company's CMMS program.
  • Rigid Conduit experience preferred.
  • Work with Apprentice electricians and provide guidance.

Requirements:
  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician with at least 2 years in an industrial environment.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Experience with PLC controllers.
  • Ability to perform Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed above.
  • Promote, support, and enforce ISO 9001 standards as they apply to the department.
  • Must have a can-do attitude.
Work Environment:

Duties are performed in a loud and uncontrolled environment (warehouse setting) subject to extreme temperatures and hazardous equipment. Some duties may be required to be performed outside or in unfinished spaces.

Compensation:

$32 - $45 hourly
