Clinical Admissions Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Admissions Counselor to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. As a key member of our admissions team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient intake process for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the intake and admission process for incoming patients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of necessary paperwork and documentation.
- Verify patient insurance benefits and communicate coverage information to patients and their families.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient needs, identifying opportunities for support and connecting patients with relevant resources.
- Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure accurate and effective patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to access resources and services independently.
- Perform crisis intervention and referral services as needed, ensuring patients receive timely and effective support.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare admissions, patient access, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
