As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect construction work to ensure conformance with contract plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track work performed, prepare daily reports, and advise on Change Order negotiations.
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review submittals for contractor-furnished materials and equipment.
  • Ensure that construction submittals are approved prior to allowing materials on site and work to proceed.
  • Maintain accurate records of drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • Identify and report non-compliant work and individuals who fail to perform their duties in a safe and skillful manner.
  • Validate contractor jobsite accuracy using as-built construction data.
  • Perform preparatory phase, initial phase, and follow-up phase inspections on established definable features of work.
  • Ensure that all applicable tests and observations required by the contract are performed.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent plus five (5) years' experience in heavy civil project inspection and related Airfield construction Inspection.
  • Possess the ability to write and speak to report on progress and outcome of technical assignments and to present recommendations.
  • Possess the ability to monitor construction projects to a successful and timely completion.
  • Have general knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, laws, and regulations as they relate to engineering performance requirements.

Work Environment

Work is frequently performed in a field environment with consistent exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must be available to work nights and weekends, have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use. Work frequently requires working at client's job site, construction trailer, and in a field environment. Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather, working in a construction site, being exposed to heavy construction equipment, and doing extensive walking.
