We are seeking a seasoned Mechanic to join our Equipment team, responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of company resources.

Your Role:

As a key member of our Equipment division, your role is essential in maintaining the reliability and functionality of our equipment fleet.

You will diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, develop effective solutions, and implement preventative maintenance strategies to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Your ability to manage vendor relationships and drive process improvements will be critical to our ongoing success.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair work on company equipment, including heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, developing effective solutions to resolve them promptly.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure all equipment-related activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers, negotiating contracts and resolving issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain equipment-related reports and metrics, communicating relevant information to stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a construction setting.
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience using equipment maintenance or repair software preferred.
