About the Role

As a Pharmacy Operations Manager at Publix Super Markets, Inc., you will play a key role in driving the success of our pharmacy department. You will be responsible for executing strategy, motivating and inspiring staff, and providing best-in-class pharmacy service to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a passion for health and wellness, and inspire your team to do the same.
  • Provide Exceptional Service: Empower staff to provide value and service through counseling, building personalized relationships, and promoting customer loyalty.
  • Mentor and Develop: Mentor, train, and develop a high-functioning pharmacy team, providing developmental opportunities and challenging assignments to all staff.
  • Drive Results: Manage department performance, including scheduling and assigning tasks to ensure complex operational activities are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Ensure continuous improvement and maintain a competitive advantage by understanding metrics as they relate to sales and service in your pharmacy.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert: Be regarded as an expert on the pharmacy technology system and how it is used for both routine and complex prescription processing.
  • Manage Inventory: Excel in managing medication on-hand inventory and regarded as an expert in pharmacy inventory operations.
  • Advance Clinical Initiatives: Proactively advance pharmacy clinical initiatives, including Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and immunizations.
  • Engage with the Community: Participate locally as a community pharmacist in events that will meet the unique health and preventative care needs within the local area.

Requirements
  • Education: Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
  • Licensure: Must have and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
  • Experience: Must have relevant experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Skills: Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interpret and understand instructions and solve problems, numerical and financial aptitude, and knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.
