Job Summary:The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to cardiac catheterization procedures, including preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities:- Perform cardiac catheterization procedures, including angiograms and coronary interventions
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure and obtaining informed consent
- Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and angiography machines
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, including adhering to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including cardiologists and nurses, to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs
- Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technologist Program (CVT) or equivalent
- Registration by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS)
- Active, current state license
- CVT's, Radiology Tech
- EPIC or Cerner experience
- Scrub and Monitor experience
- ACLS, BLS
- Additional certifications may be required
