Job Title: Route Driver NonCDL

Job Summary:
The Shred-it Route Driver is responsible for providing exceptional service to clients while ensuring the secure destruction of confidential information. This role involves transporting supplies and materials, loading and unloading the delivery vehicle, and ensuring all cargo is safely secured before transport.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information
  • Conduct pre/post-trip checks and driver check-in on the assigned truck
  • Report maintenance issues to Transportation/Dispatcher
  • Operate company equipment safely and efficiently
  • Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service
  • Complete and maintain DOT logs when applicable
  • Ensure high levels of security when emptying consoles and/or collection totes
  • Service accounts using a hand-held device to update console/containers and locations
  • Manage assigned routes to collect and service customers' confidential material in a timely and accurate manner
  • Handle and respond to customer problems and inquiries

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in driving shred/box trucks and route management
  • Current driver's license (Class D or above) with an excellent driving record
  • May require mandatory immunizations and credentials based on customer requirements
