Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Brook + Whittle. As a Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for examining products for defects or deviations from specifications, evaluating and assessing company-wide processes, and ensuring that we exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products prior to secondary finishing or shipping to ensure conformance with order specifications.
  • Measure products using various tools, including rulers, micrometers, spectrophotometers, and loupes, to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Verify required documentation and report any failures to the Quality Supervisor.
  • Accept or reject finished items and segregate any rejected items to prevent shipment.
  • Provide feedback on findings to the Quality Supervisor and complete reports as required by customers.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with specialized classes beyond high school a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in printing or a related field.
  • A keen eye for color and the ability to distinguish between minimal color variances.
  • A heightened focus on detail and the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to read and effectively use measuring devices.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
  • Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment with potential hazards, including dust, dirt, high noise levels, and chemicals.
  • Constantly required to hear, speak, articulate, and use manual dexterity.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use color vision, grasp, reach, and sit for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
