As a Mobile Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals at various long-term care facilities. Your role will involve assisting with audiology, optometry, podiatry, and behavioral health services. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical records through electronic medical systems, ensuring the care and upkeep of medical equipment, and facilitating provider support.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Assist healthcare providers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare patient charts prior to scheduled appointments.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of clinical records using electronic medical records.
  • Complete visit reports on the same day and communicate findings with management.
  • Provide daily updates and collaborate with the branch office to enhance scheduling and reporting.
  • Oversee medical supplies inventory by conducting audits and placing urgent orders as needed.
  • Ensure all medical equipment is functioning correctly by adhering to preventive maintenance protocols.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology.
  • Travel to designated medical facilities as required.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the compliance program.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Possession of reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and valid car insurance.
  • Completion of a two-step Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test is mandatory.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology are required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.

Physical Requirements:

This position demands a full range of motion, including manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. It involves standing, walking, pushing, and occasional stooping. The ability to lift patients and maneuver wheelchairs is necessary. Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges are required. There may be some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
