Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years
  • Experience in an Academic Level - Trauma center
  • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks)
  • WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS - certified through American Heart Association ONLY required
  • TNCC required
