Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including routine and advanced imaging procedures, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Provide support to other imaging technologists as needed, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient use of resources.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications, adhering to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact effectively with patients and care providers, prioritizing procedures to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures, using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control standards.
  • Accurately code and enter charges for procedures performed.
  • Adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • Associate's Degree in a related field of study.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • 3 years of CT experience in a clinical imaging setting preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT.
  • Current state licensure.
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
