Project Executive Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Executive to join our team in the greater Phoenix metro in Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading a group of Project Managers and possess prior experience in running a branch. Additionally, the Project Executive should have expertise in structural steel erection, knowledge of AISC best practices, experience with ISO-9001 standards, and a proven track record in estimating and business development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers, ensuring project objectives are met.
  • Branch Operations: Oversee branch operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Project Oversight: Provide strategic direction and oversight on all projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of projects and the branch, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project and operational risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve project management processes and branch operations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely reporting on project and branch performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Estimating: Develop and oversee project estimates, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in bids.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the client base and fostering long-term relationships.
Requirements:
  • Structural Steel Erection: Proven background in structural steel erection, with a deep understanding of the complexities involved in such projects.
  • AISC Best Practices: Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) best practices, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • ISO-9001 Standards: Experience with ISO-9001 quality management systems, ensuring projects and operations meet these rigorous standards.
  • Estimating: Demonstrated experience in developing project estimates and managing the bidding process.
  • Business Development: Proven ability to identify and secure new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
General Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple projects and managing a team of Project Managers.
  • Branch Management: Prior experience running a branch or a similar operational unit.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Client Focus: Excellent client management skills, with a track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Risk Management: Experience in identifying and mitigating risks associated with projects and branch operations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
Work Schedule:
  • Hours: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and evening work as required to meet project deadlines.
