Electrical Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team at Omni Inclusive. As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical control systems for our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enforce safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Supervise facility systems utilizing various computer software programs.
  • Take ownership and provide new insights to electrical control systems, including PLC data collection and display.
  • Solve multiple manufacturers' electrical components and input/output devices.
  • Provide electrical planning assistance in multiple capital projects.
  • Assist the maintenance team in troubleshooting equipment issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent education with a solid, validated history of electrical controls capabilities.
  • Relevant years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment with automation control systems commensurate with the level of this position.
  • Strong PLC knowledge with understanding of multiple manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to connect equipment input/output data into facility computer monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 electrical codes.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years working in a manufacturing environment with automation control systems.
  • Ability to develop PLC and HMI software programs.
  • Knowledge and experience in statistical process control methodology.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to optimally train electricians and operators pertaining to control systems.
  • Foundry equipment experience a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of Wonderware(AVEVA) and/or Movicon is beneficial.
  • Designing control systems for monitoring production and manufacturing processes.
